Building on our learning about glass, today we joined our WellSpring friends on a trip to the Kokomo Opalsecent Glass Factory.
Wow, it was so much fun! The factory was founded in 1888, and they make opalescent glass that is used all over the world. Louis Tiffany and Frank Lloyd Wright both used KOG factory glass.
It's made today in basically the same way it was 100 years ago, and we got to watch today!
In the photo above the table man mixes the molten glass together before it gets rolled out.
