OK, this has nothing really to do with learning... it's all about life and playing.
I love Tibbs Drive In! We go once, maybe sometimes twice a summer... to claim our space with our car in front of a huge screen out of doors. We bring snacks and pillows and chairs... and cozy in for a movie.
We started checking out the drive in when K was a baby... we would leave early for the movies, and drive around until she was asleep in her car seat. We could then watch a grown up movie, and she was right there, she never woke up. : ) Brilliant idea for a date, if you have a good sleeper!
Lately we had been watching a kids movie first, then we would tuck in sleepy kiddos and Rob and I would watch a grown-up movie for the second part of the double feature.... This time was the first time both kiddos stayed awake for both movies all the way through. Both kids movies were really good too. : )
I hope that the kiddos carry these summer time memories with them, as the kind of family fun we have enjoyed over the years.
