I need new batteries for my camera. They are rechargables, and have been recharged so often, they don't hold a charge for anything anymore.
So as a quick cap of the week...... last weekend was a long weekend. We had Memorial day here in the states, and Rob got an early Father's Day gift- the gift of a Grill.
: )
He went to the Indy 500 on Sunday, and then we had a fun gathering of friends to Grill on the back deck on Monday- the public holiday.
It was a magic day of kiddos getting along well perfectly, sun shining, good food, good friends. I love that feeling of being surrounded by so much joy.
I am really beginning to understand my mum's constant refrain after a fun event- "that was very pleasant".
Tuesday was Girl Scout Picnic. The last meeting of the year was a picnic at Fort Ben, a beautiful big state park on the east side of town. It's so pretty there, and the kids all enjoyed seeing each other.
Wednesday we were able to help a friend in need.
Thursday we sang and drummed with friends.
Friday we learned about Roman Numerals, and went downtown to hear BluePrint Music play at the City Market. We danced and played with our friends with the beautiful music in the background. We had friends over in the evening too. And learned that another family we know and love are making plans to move to the house for sale a few doors up and over the road. Joy!!!!!
This weekend is Celebrate Irvington. I worked with the Irvington Guild of Artists this evening at their collectors show and silent auction. Phew!
So that's my week without photos. : )
peace.......
