Jamie and I drove up to Chicago on Monday to see Ladysmith Black Mombaza in concert. It was amazing, simply amazing. We went with Blythes mama and step-dad, to whom we owe a huge deal of thanks! What a blessing to be able to go enjoy this beautiful music!
WOW!

This is what we were up to- playing on the new element Mike had installed at The Mountain Institute.
This is K climbing up the pole. She was so excited to have a try, she went to our bag of climbing gear that I had with us, found her harness, and put it on herself. She appeared by my side, asking- when is it my turn?
She didn't actually stand up on top of the pole, but she had two climbs up, and peeped around the top. She enjoyed climbing and swinging!
I love her brave attitude, her love of giving it a try, her enjoyment of being involved and including herself.
But mostly I just adore her eagerness to climb...... I can understand that!

The kids and I took a long weekend to West Virginia. We stayed at the Mountain Institute, near Spruce Knob. Mike asked us down, as it was the installation weekend of the high-ropes element that he was having built there. So we trained, played and had a great time on the brand new Leap of Faith. The kids had a great time playing too, we also got to go hiking at Seneca Rocks, check out a new observatory being built, went to the Purple Fiddle for an awesome live bluegrass/roots show..... and sleep in the rammed earth dorms at the Institute itself. What a great weekend!
