To this mama, this photo really speaks to all the charms of childhood. The sweet innocence of holding your friend's hand and twirling your flower while listening so inently to your Brownie Troop Leader.......
And of course your doll had to come to the ceremony too. In her Summer Party dress that Aunty J gave her of course......
When you have one hand for a doll and one hand to slip into the hand of a friend I think your life must be pretty sweet if you are seven years old and a newly minted Brownie.

Today was investiture ceremony with K's Brownie Girl Scout Troop. Emily had arranged a really sweet ceremony...... all the adults were in the hall and the brownies gathered out in the hallway. They knocked at the door all together and Emily called to them "Who knocks at the door of the Brownie Woods?" and they all yelled "WE DO!!". She asked them "Why do you knock?" and they yelled "BECAUSE WE WANT TO BE BROWNIES!!!!"
Heart meltingly sweet!
They all got their pins at the ceremony today.
