L watches Joshua drum.
Originally uploaded by annamaren.L was dancing with his friend E, but he got a little sidetracked when Joshua started up with the drumming! He loves a little rythym.
Here's Blueprintmusic's website if you want to listen to a few samples.
We are happy fans of this awesome local band.
Girls listen to music.
Originally uploaded by annamaren.I had to post this photo, because I simply love it!
It's F, K and A laying on the floor of the artsgarden, soaking up the live music!
Kate sings it.
Originally uploaded by annamaren. The kiddos and I are lucky to have such beautiful music as Blueprintmusic in our lives! We went downtown on Thursday and brought our lunch to the artsgarden to take in a live show. There were plenty of friends there to enjoy it oo.
The kiddos sat and danced and drew and the grown ups chased and danced and tapped toes and had all had a great time!
If you are local to Indy and IPL is your power company, you should check out
this free home energy efficiency kit from IPL. We ordered ours in December and it just came in the mail yesterday. It's a couple of free Compact Florescent Light Bulbs, a new water saving showerhead, a luminescent night light, and some thermometers to measure the temp of your fridge and your water heater. Plus a water flow meter bag- to measure your faucets output, oh and some switch and outlet draft-stoppers of those located on exterior walls.
It all provided an interesting conversation for K about how we conserve energy. We already use CFL's in most of our light fixtures that can take them. But now K knows why!
Anyway...... go chedck it out- it's free!
Today we celebrated with friends and fun for Birthday celebrations! Happy Birthday A!
I am sorry I didn't have my camera with me all day, as small kiddos were so sweet and cute all day....... there were bears and cupcakes and grins.....
We've finished reading Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and we watched the newer movies this evening. I had forgotten how great I thought it was!
K and mama with 3D glasses!
Originally uploaded by annamaren. On Dr. Martin Luther King Jnr day most of the Museums in town have free admission with the donation of canned goods. So we went to the Sate Museum and saw a 3D IMAX movie- Across the Sea of Time- which was a great movie, and all the better for being huge and three dimensional. We saw the movie with Jamie and her kiddos, and it was just as much fun for me to watch the kiddos reach out and try and grab things that were not there!
: )
We also checked out a few of the exhibits and listened to some Gospel Music that made us want to clap and dance! (Um, espcially L. The spirit was really moving that boy! He has no inhibitions!)
K working on her journal.
Originally uploaded by annamaren.I thought I'd pop up a photo of K working on her journal. She does an entry every day, and as of the beginning of January we have a collection of K's journals that go back two years now! There are some patches, but it's great fun for K to look back at what her handwriting was like back then, and to rediscover the things that she thought were important to write about that day.
How tasty is the ice cream, book clubbers?
Originally uploaded by annamaren.K hosted book club last Friday, and we read an awesome book, "Cocoa Ice" by Diana Appelbaum, and made Zip Loc Ice Cream! It actually worked and was the tastiest ice-cream I've had in a while! Here are some of K's friends (all dressed in pink!) eating some of the delicious chocolate Ice Cream they made!
