K performs a solo

K performs a solo

WellSpring held a talent show on the evening of Memorial Day, it was a fun and very tasty picnic witha Variety Talent Show afterward.

Here is K, playing the hardest piece she has in her rep. right now. She was only a little nervous, but not as much as in the past. And note, this is a solo in front of many people! She is stepping up a notch in her self confidence I think. So sweet to watch and be a part of!

My brothers travel. A lot. It's easy to include a little fun geography simply by keeping up with where in the world they are.

One lives in Moscow, the other in London, and from those bases, they seem to cover a lot of the world!

Justin just got back from India, if you want to see some amazing photos, click through this one here to his flickr.

Just a little peek into our neighbour's hive!
These bees are doing so well, it's amazing. The band of lighter yellow with not many bees along the top is all capped honey. The bottom solid yellow spots are all capped bee larva, with the lumpy yellow spots toward the top left being capped drone (boy bee) larva. The random dark spots are where the baby bees have already chewed their way out.

These bees are so lovely too, it's a very gentle hive.

Letterboxing
We started Letterboxing today with the help of some neighbourhood friends! Our first box was one at our local library.

So much fun! I think Letterboxing is going to be a thing for us this summer. Apparently they are everywhere.

We have a little book that we are putting stamps into, and I am working on a lino cut stamp for K and L to stamp into the books that we find. And of course I have ideas of putting a letterbox out there!

Other things floating in the Anna-o-sphere.... I need to do photo management. I am out of hard drive. I must do this before uploading any photos I have taken recently. Or I will kill my trusty 'puter. It has been dying for about a year now, so this is kind of taxing on the old girl....
L is into They Might Be Giants, as in the band. I mean *really* into them. It's all we have listened to for days now. He plays his little uke and does fancy dancing all over the living room.... he is so into them!
It's strawberry season, and we've been picking at Waterman's once already, going again on Friday. I love strawberry season, I look forward to it all year as my official decleration that summer has begun.
Did I mention no photos?
Sigh.
Coming soon- new hard drive?

Camp is over!
What a week, phew! The last day of camp, we had a speaker from Keep Indianapolis Beautiful come and speak to us- the lovely Sarah Grain! She was sweet and fun, and summed up the whole week for us, it was lovely that she was able to come on the last day of camp, and not Tuesday, as we had originaly booked her.

Friday, I spent the day playing with a group of Public School students, PS91, the Montessori Magnet holds a Mystery Day every year for their graduating 5th graders. This is the second year I have facilitated adventure group games for them. Fun! My friend Will co-ordinates the group games, and this year his whole staff was WellSpring parents.

Saturday was the begining of the Weekend of Crazy here in Indy! We went to the parade, and it was a bunch of fun, especially for L, as he enjoyed everything car-related.

Sunday- Pentecost and Race Day! Rob went to the race, and I asked the kiddos what they would most like to do. I love that I have children whose answer is "Lets go to the bookstore!" : ) So we did!
