I finally made the veil that I have been wanting for a while, a simple light weight, easy to see through veil on a straw hat. Let's see how long it takes me to get stung through that shall we? I remain optimistic.

Originally uploaded by annamaren.This is K's garden at her class. Each child gets a raised bed garden to work. K has a mix of flowers and food. Her plants are completely random based on what they as starts and what she likes to eat- strawberries, cherry tomato, cucumber, peanuts etc....

This Jnr Master Gardeners class that K is taking is every Wednesday afternoon for two months. After talking to the leaders of the program, I think that it is their intent to being a kind of Jnr Master Gardeners club, for those kiddos who want to continue on gardening together!
She has had so much fun with it, and is learning so much!
L and I have been going to the conservatory each week, which is filled with amazing tropical plants. There is a coco tree, and banana trees!
There is also a pond with a giant fish, which L has named Oklahoma. L likes to sing to the fish. : )
I am thinking that I would love to do a Master Gardening class myself, but after looking into it, it's quite a large commitment of time and energy. So I am living vicariously through K. Week before last she bought home a peanut plant to plant in our garden at home! (she also has one in her garden at class) A peanut! I can't wait to see it in action!

Originally uploaded by emaho.I can't remember if I showed you the troop that K is in! Sweet Emily is our troop leader, she has been involved in Girl Scouting for many years, and it is such a beautiful thing to be able to have K and the I'ton girls in her troop! They had such a fun year of Scouting!
